Slim sightlines for panoramic views

Specifying sliding doors allows you to achieve panoramic views with a sleek minimal frame design and excellent thermal performance. Sliding doors are an exceptional glazed door solution should the layout of the home or garden not be conducive to a stack of bifold doors or the swing of a French door.

A combination of cutting-edge design and energy efficiency creates a stunning glazing feature to the home, available in two standard frame colours, with the additional option of bespoke colours and finishes, including powder-coated and anodised finishes.

Lift & slide smooth operation

The Glide S Sliding Door system features a lift & slide gearing system creating effortless opening and closing of large glazed panels. To open or close the doors, the sash is lifted by the handle and hovers above the frame to provide you with an effortless, smooth movement - allowing all of the family to easily operate the doors, no matter how large the panels.

Exceptional sliding door performance

The closed system of the Glide S Sliding Door rests over weather-seals to provide exceptional weather protection and features concealed drainage within the low threshold for excellent water evacuation. Thermal performance is optimised with the thermal-break zone and cross-linked polythene insulation. Combined with an optimised glass specification, including triple glazing if required, this system can achieve U-values from 1.5/m2K.

For safety and security peace of mind, the Glide S system includes multi-point locking and high-security cylinders as standard.

FAQs

What is the price of the Glide S Sliding Door system?

In discussion with your Project Manager, the full specification of your doors, including size, glass, colour, operation, and installation will be agreed to provide a final cost. As a guide, the Glide S Sliding Door system starts from £650 +VAT per m2.

How do you achieve a premium seal between brick surround and the frame?

To achieve a neat seal between brick and your new architectural glazing, we use our premium sealing option, Hannoband 3E. It's a weathertight seal, vapour membrane and insulation tape all in one. It works particularly well between frame and brick to achieve a precise, weathertight seal – filling every groove, nook and void.

Will I lose a lot of heat by installing sliding doors?

All of our sliding doors are chosen with thermal efficiencies in mind, feature high-specification glass that we tailor to each project; softcoat, argon filled, low ion, a-rated, double glazed glass etc. All aluminium profile frames have a thermal break to stop thermal bridging to maximise thermal efficiency.  You may also like to consider choosing triple glazing for increased thermal performance.
