Another mission impossible roof light made possible by Exact!
30 July 2019
On a beautiful sunny day in July our expert installation team, overseen by Silas, headed to Cranleigh to install a 5175mm x 2180mm flat roof light. The stunning single pane flat roof light was the first part of our client’s architectural glazing project – we started at the top and we’ll be returning soon to install windows and a set of French doors to complete this transformation.
Roof lantern or roof light?
Having initially considered a roof lantern, our clients chose the Pure Glass Flat Roof Light to create a modern internal and external finish and avoid interrupting views from the first-floor bedrooms above.
An unobstructed view up through the roof light was also required, which meant the single pane pure glass flat roof light was the perfect solution. With a hidden aluminium frame and edge-to-edge glazing, it's a modern, minimalist solution which when installed by our experienced team creates an almost invisible breath-taking centrepiece for the room.
Expertise and spider crane at the ready
Weighing in at over 900kg, manoeuvering the single pane roof light called for our favourite spider crane! With a fence to overcome, spider crane and the onsite team worked meticulously to position the impressive roof light into place on the roof of the ground floor extension.
There was never any doubt of a fantastic outcome, although I think the team onsite definitely worked up a sweat!
Glazing transformation part 2, coming soon
With some preparation work to complete for the installation of the French doors and windows, our team will be back on site soon to finish the glazing makeover – just in time for our clients to enjoy the amazing summer we’ve been promised!
Enhancing your view
Adding a roof lantern or roof light to an existing room or extension can truly transform the look and feel of the space. The Pure Glass Flat Roof Light is also available in a modular style with glass or aluminium lintels, which creates an architectural statement within the glazing.
