High-performance sliding doors

The Bespoke Composite Sliding Door system is expertly designed to combine contemporary styling with precision engineering, providing you with a modern glazed wall. Available in a choice of timber-aluminium or aluminium composite, the system can be combined with our range of composite windows to achieve a cohesive architectural style as well as a Passivhaus specification home.

During the specification process, we will work with you to tailor the glass specification to meet the needs of the project. As glazing experts, we feature high quality glass in all of our installations to achieve optimum performance, with U values as low as 0.64w/m2K possible with the timber-aluminium system.

Contemporary design with lift and slide motion

Featuring an ultra-low threshold and lift and slide motion for smooth movement, panels weighing up to 400kg effortlessly glide along the fibreglass threshold to allow all the family to enjoy the versatility of sliding doors and easy indoor-outdoor access.

Designed with thermal efficiency in mind, the Bespoke Composite Sliding Door can be combined with frameless side elements to achieve glass corners, frameless panoramic fixed glazing or a completely bespoke solution.

Sliding door specifications

During the Initial Project Consultation, your project and glazing needs will be discussed to ensure we can provide you with the right glazing solutions for the project. Working to develop the glazing requirements from the beginning of a project ensures that our glazing experts can specify a complete glazing package to achieve the architectural and performance requirements.

In addition to a glazed solution unique to the project, the Bespoke Composite Sliding Door system is available in a range of standard colours, as well as bespoke colours to complement or contrast with the interior and exterior design. A visit to our Liphook showroom, which is open by appointment only, is often helpful at the point of final specification to view all of the available colours and decide what is right for the project.

KEY FEATURES

MATERIAL SPECIFICATION

The Bespoke Composite Sliding Door is available in timber-aluminium composite or aluminium composite. During your Initial Project Consultation, the material specification will be discussed to achieve optimum performance for the project.

Timber-aluminium maximum size: 11m x 3.2m
Aluminium composite maximum size: 6.5m x 2.8m

Should your project require a larger span of sliding doors, the Pure Glass Sliding Door should be considered.

LOW THRESHOLD

Uninterrupted access between indoor and outdoor living areas is achieved by combining the right sliding door system and threshold. The integration of the threshold with your internal and external materials and finishes should be agreed and designed by your architect and builder during the early planning stages. The Bespoke Composite Sliding Door features a fibreglass low-threshold for improved stability.

SMART INNOVATION FOR SLIDING DOORS

The Bespoke Composite Sliding Door system can be incorporated into a smart home system. Choose electrically operated sliding doors, operated via a wifi remote control or wall-mounted button and combine with a keypad or fingerprint scanner for optimum security and easy operation.

OPTIMISED GLASS SPECIFICATION

The glazing specification is tailored to meet the needs of each project. The Bespoke Composite Sliding Door system features triple-glazed Eclaz glass. This combination achieves higher light transmission and improved energy efficiency to provide more home comfort and better wellbeing.

BESPOKE COMPOSITE SLIDING DOOR CONFIGURATIONS

Due to its exceptional engineering and design, the Bespoke Composite Sliding Door system can be configured in standard 2, 3 or 4 panes as shown.
The timber-aluminium frame can also be configured into a frameless fixed corner to completely open up two walls of glass, without the need for a corner post.

VERSATILE EXTERIOR BLIND OPTIONS

With large expanses of glazing, privacy or sun protection can be needed at times. The Bespoke Composite Sliding Door System can be specified to feature external blinds to provide the home with optimum temperature and daylight control.

The blinds are available in a wide range of colours and can be incorporated into a smart home system with electrically operated options.

FAQs

Is the Composite Sliding Door system in my budget?

Your Project Manager will be able to advise you of the price of the sliding doors for your project based on size, glass, operation, colour and installation. As a guide to assist with project planning, the Composite Sliding Door system starts from £750 +VAT per m2.

How do you achieve a premium seal between brick surround and the frame?

To achieve a neat seal between brick and your new architectural glazing, we use our premium sealing option, Hannoband 3E. It's a weathertight seal, vapour membrane and insulation tape all in one. It works particularly well between frame and brick to achieve a precise, weathertight seal – filling every groove, nook and void.

What is a lift & slide sliding door system?

A lift & slide door refers to the way in which your sliding doors open. Rather than a static rail and small rollers as you would find on an inline door, with a lift & slide door such as the Reynaers CP130, the sash is lifted and hovers above the frame, giving you an effortless, smooth opening movement.
