ROOF LANTERN CONFIGURATIONS

The Pure Glass Roof Lantern is available in two configurations: Pyramid or Rectangular.

The pyramid lantern features a square frame and 4 identically sized panes of glass available in sizes up to 2000 x 2000mm.

The rectangular lantern features a central ridge apex and a rectangular frame, perfect to create an elongated feature. This configuration is available in sizes up to 1500 x 3000mm.

To achieve a larger span of roof glazing, you may like to consider our Pure Glass Bespoke range or the Aluminium Roof Lantern.

GLASS SPECIFICATION

The glass for each roof lantern is meticulously specified to achieve optimum safety and performance. As a guide, our roof lanterns will feature; self-cleaning, solar-control, toughened SN70/35 glass. The glass we specify will provide excellent thermal and solar performance, as well as high light transmission.

MANUAL OR ELECTRIC OPENING

The exceptional engineering and design of the Pure Glass Roof Lantern also allows for the option of electric opening with the minimalist design. Operated by a wireless remote or rocker switch electric opening will provide enhanced temperature and ventilation control. 

THERMALLY BROKEN FRAME

The Pure Glass Roof Lantern is manufactured with a thermally broken extruded aluminium ring beam system, using 32mm twin polyamide inserts. Combined with a premium glass specification, the specialist frame creates optimum thermal, solar and weathertight performance for your roof glazing.

How do I calculate the height of my Pure Glass Roof Lantern?

The height of a Pure Glass Roof Lantern is approximately half of the shorter dimension.

E.g. a 1500 x 2500mm roof lantern will be approximately 750mm high (1500mm ÷ 2).

Remember to take into account the upstand height when calculating the overall height of your roof glazing.

Is the pitch of the Pure Glass Roof Lantern fixed?

Yes. The 40° pitch of the Pure Glass Roof Lantern provides its structural integrity. If you are working within a height restriction for your roof glazing, talk to one of our expert team about your project to find out about our other roof glazing systems.
