Elegant roof glazing solution – for two!
Midhurst, West Sussex
25 August 2020
As architectural glazing experts, we love it when a client comes to us with an unusual glazing request. This project in Midhurst was a first for us so we couldn’t wait to get to work.
Hampshire-based Interior Designer, Tricia Carroll Designs got in touch to talk to us about her project, where she was providing a full interior design service to completely update her client’s home.
A unique roof glazing solution
As part of a large-scale renovation and interior design project, the living space in this West Sussex home was extended to provide open plan and private spaces with a single-story rear extension.
Rather than choosing separate roof glazing for the new kitchen and study areas, to add a unique and innovative glazing design to these areas, one large 5422mm x 1500mm Aluminium Roof Lantern spans both rooms.
To avoid unnecessary noise between each area, an almost invisible vertical glazed panel softens the connection.
Working with your onsite teams for glazing expertise
When researching and planning your renovation, choosing and working with reliable suppliers from the start will make your project (and life!) much simpler. The earlier we can be involved with your architect, builder and interior designer, the more we can work with you to ensure the bespoke glazing you require achieves your vision.
For this two-room roof glazing, we worked closely with Tricia and C Curtis Building, to construct the required upstand and install the lantern.
Tricia shared her thoughts on working with us on this project:
I recently used this company on one of my current projects and it has been great working with them. From start to finish they have made the whole process as smooth as possible, liaising with all the team on the project, keeping to budget and meeting deadlines. They have done a lovely job for my clients who are delighted. Once the project is completely finished i'll be posting images.
I will definitely aim to use them again on any future projects.
