Internal glazed partitions: A contemporary approach to dividing space in your property.

We specified and installed a bespoke steel and clear glazed internal fire-rated partition with an access door at a school in Hampshire. On this mezzanine level glazed addition aesthetic, functionality and safety were all paramount . Every element of the the installation has a thirty minute fire-rating from the frame and glass to the metal fixings, foam and silicone. The partition also provides excellent acoustic efficiency, which as a music school was an essential requirement.
We worked in conjunction with the School leadership team, and local council to achieve a glazing installation which created a multi-purpose space for staff and students to enjoy. The heritage style design achieved the requested look, whilst encompassing the safety requirements for an educational establishment.
Dividing a space with a glazed partition rather than a wall creates a feeling of space, light and fluidity. The fire rating of the products used are supported with the BRE global assessment report which is an essential requirement to guarantee safety and efficacy in a thirty minute fire rated product.
