Sunningdale, Berkshire
31 January 2020
Our client, Ashley Homes, build luxury homes in the Surrey and Berkshire area. Like us, their passion for craftsmanship, quality, attention to detail and excellence is second to none.
Working with Ashley Homes
We were delighted to be involved with this project, our first with Ashley Homes. Set within the beautiful village of Sunningdale, Berkshire, this luxury new build was designed and built with immaculate attention to detail.
In looking for a like-minded company to provide both roof glazing and bifold doors, we worked closely with Ashley Homes to provide our expertise on the most suitable glazing options to achieve the vision for this elegant home. Our carefully curated range of glazing includes aluminium roof lanterns, frameless roof glazing, walk on glass, bifold doors, sliding doors, French doors, windows and entrance doors. By working with us for all of your glazing needs, you have one point of contact project managing everything from enquiry, survey and logistics through to installation and aftercare.
Combining roof glazing and bifold door styles
Having worked with timber bifold doors for previous projects, we shared our expertise and the benefits of choosing an aluminium frame system with Ashley Homes. By incorporating aluminium frame glazing, you will achieve superior thermal efficiency, durability and low maintenance performance. Generally, aluminium frame glazing is also a more cost-effective solution than timber too.
In choosing the classic aluminium roof lantern, the subtle ogee detailing perfectly complements the overall design of the home, whilst seamlessly blending with the contemporary styling of the FD85® bifold doors.
Glazing designed to your exact needs
From the specification of the glass to the colour of the aluminium frame, when you work with us, your glazing is designed to the exact needs of your project. Ashley Homes chose the Anthracite Grey finish for the roof lantern and bifold doors, to contrast with the elegant white frames of the windows throughout the rest of the home. In doing so, the roof lantern and bifold doors become a beautiful feature and focal point of the open plan kitchen and dining area.
Graham from Ashley Homes shared his thoughts on the project:
When you’re running a project like this, there are multiple deadlines and suppliers to deal with almost every day. Working with Exact, who were able to provide both the roof lantern and the bifold doors and also install the glazing, was straightforward and simple. I would certainly work with them again on future projects
The Exact Aluminium Roof Lantern
A stunning addition to any home, the Exact Aluminium Roof Lantern allows light to flood in from above and the elevated ceiling height creates a wow-factor you’ll never tire of.
If you’re looking for a frameless solution for your roof glazing, you may prefer the Pure Glass Pyramid or Pure Glass Flat Roof Lantern.
